I was so excited for my blue and pomergrant tops to come in, but so disappointed with the fit. For my body it was not flattering at all. I have wider hips and I hated how low the front and back was cut down. It didn't seem like much in the picture, but when I put it on I felt like I didn't have a shirt on and was very uncomfortable, but that's just MY body type. The girl in the pictures...she looks great. I really wanted this top mostly for it length, I like longer shirts, but after taking five minutes trying to figure out which side was a front, I put it back in the box and shipped both items back.

I normally order a size medium for my racerback tops.. so I was a little scared reading all the reviews on peoples on the size of this top weather or not I should order a small or not.. I'm so glad I went and ordered it in the medium.. It fits so well and hugs in the right places.. I got nothing but complements on this top.. Love it!! love it!! love it!!!

I am 5'4" 130 pounds, 34B/C, 38" hips, 29" waist. I carry my weight in my middle ("apple" shaped), and am always looking for something to camouflage my belly (I admit it, I wear a slimming camisole under my workout clothes to smooth out the lumps, bumps, and wiggles, and to flatten that belly a bit). Additionally, I only wear leggings if my shirt will camouflage my saddlebags. And don't even get me started on muffin-tops.
I bought this shirt in gunmetal during my instructor training. Initially, when I held it up off the table to look at it, I thought it looked really odd, and so I tried it on for a good laugh, thinking it would look ridiculous. Much to my surprise, I LOVED it. I bought the large, and am happy with the way it fits. When I got home, I wanted to buy more colors online, but I must have been looking in the wrong place, because I couldn't find any, and I was disappointed. Now I found these new colors, AND they're on sale! WOOT!
THE PLUSES: I really like the fabric and the way it drapes. But most importantly, it hides everything I need to hide (belly, muffin-top, saddle-bags), and makes my butt look great. When I'm in class and see myself in the mirror, I don't cringe, and I even think to myself, "yeah, I'm looking pretty good!" I would almost (almost!) feel comfortable wearing a regular tank top under this top and skip the body slimmer. Also, I never have to adjust it in class, the tie in back keeps it from sliding off my shoulders, and the way the bottom fits keeps it from shifting around too much. I wear it with leggings, not cargo pants.
THE SHAPE: On me, the shirt is somewhat fitted around the hips, but the slits on the sides mean there is no clinging to the lumps and bumps (i.e. no saddlebags!). The effect is slimming of my belly and thighs, rather than clinging. I think the key to its flattering fit is that the cut is sort of hourglass shaped, rather than straight up and down or boxy-looking. This, combined with the drapey fabric, the slight bloused effect, and the side slits, are what make it so flattering.
As far as the images online, the pomegranate or aspen color, in the images without the model, shows the shape the best, at least how it fits on me. On the models, it looks really loose and floppy and flowy at the bottom - that's not how it fits me at all. It conforms to the shape of my butt without being clingy, and it ends about an inch below my butt. On top, it blouses out starting just below my natural waist. A bit like the Fast Dance Flashy, but it's longer and not quite THAT snug, and it doesn't have the dolman sleeves, so it's not THAT blousey.
This top looks best with leggings, rather than cargo pants or looser pants (yes, even if you have saddle-bags. Actually, ESPECIALLY if you have saddlebags!). With other tops, I usually wear the looser pants because of my saddlebags, but not only is that unnecessary with this top, cargo pants end up making the whole ensemble look a bit bulky.
THE CONS: I admit that sometimes it takes me a minute to figure out which is front or back. And it's true that the neckline/cowl thing doesn't quite know what to do with itself sometimes, both around the scoop in front and also over top of the armhole. But the rest of it is so great that I don't really notice. Not to mention that all the moving and dancing make this factor pretty irrelevant.
For a "pear" shaped body (wide hips and narrow waist), I am not sure how it would look. That's the opposite of my body, and it might emphasize exactly the wrong things? On the other hand, I do sorta feel like this top would look good on just about anyone.
WASHING: I wash it in the washer on cold and sometimes use the dryer, sometimes line dry. It might have shrunk some, but I haven't noticed any huge change in fit (unless we've both shrunk, both me and my shirt!). I haven't had the fabric balls appear. I am very satisfied with the quality of the product.

I absolutely love love this top and I want one in every color. Fits perfect flows nicely when you dance. If you feel a little poochy it hides it completely. Highly recommend it!!!!!

I bought the Z Performance Sleeveless V-Neck in one size larger than me (XXL) and LOVE this cut. I bought the pink and the light purple. I'm big chested and it fits GREAT!! I can't wait to wear this to class.

I'm not sure about trying this one. I couldn't tell what to do with it, front from back?? I got it in a Small, I am usually a size 0 or 2 in normal clothes but in Zumba stuff I never know! This one fits ok...a bit big maybe. It is soft, and a good color with the tights...but I am concerned it will wrinkle when washed and that it will fall off my shoulders. People have posted good ideas about cinching it in here and there, I may try it. So far it's just hanging in the closet waiting for a decision. I almost wrapped it up to send back, but then I noticed the little pocket, it is a cute addition.

I am an instructor, bought this in the periwinkle shade and wear it with black capris and black Zumba bra. I am a size 2, 5'7", chest 34 C, 126lbs and the Small fit me perfect. Roomy enough to dance in, fitted enough to just loosely hang over my hips and showing just the right amount of skin. I would buy this again in a "heart beat!" The only draw back is it does show sweat in this color but hey, we are working out so "so be it!"

I'm all for showing some skin and unique cuts on a shirt, but this one just seemed a little bit too oddly shaped for me. The front seemed to be neither a cowl, nor a v, and the back was a bit wider of a cowl-like V. Either way, front or back, it seemed like the kind of top that would need constant adjusting in class, and who has time for that? The strange shape of the shirt paired with a few defective seams on the garment and I decided to return it. I must say, though, that the fabric was nice and soft! and it fit well.

For anyone who wants to show a bit of flesh, but doesn't want to go full see through tops or just bra tops, this top is the answer! Covers enough on the tummy whilst still being flattering, but the lovely deep neckline moves with you and shows off your bra top in whatever colour you choose. Fits large, order a size down. Definitely buy this.

I am really pleased with this shirt. I love how it drapes in the front and the back- showing just enough, covering my lower torso and hips, but showing off my back and a little of my upper front. It is really flattering for those of us who are not totally comfortable showing off our whole stomach area. It's fun to dance in- flaring out when you spin and move. I tie it close at the base of my neck and had no problems with it slipping off of my shoulders. Also, I have had no problems washing it.
Usually I wear a medium in the Zumba shirts, but only the xl/xxl was available. It fits me perfectly, so I think it runs small.
I highly recommend this shirt! LOVE IT!!!

Love this top, but when washed in cold, gentle cycle, and hung to dry, I had little fabric balls appear onto the top.
I always air dry my Zumba clothing items, but was really surprized that this happened when washed.
Not sure if this is a performance product after all.

Honestly, when I tried this on the first time I was a little self-conscious because I'm not skinny at all.. but everytime I wear it.. all I get are compliments. My only complain is that it tends to move in the back a little and I feel it pulls my neck while dancing around.

I have both colors in this shirt and love love them! It stays put when I teach which I was concerned about and the cut is so flattering! I wash them in cold water and dry on low...have had no issues with the logo coming off. This is confidence dancing tank :)

I wash this one time and the logo came right off and stuck to my shirt.. It was all gooey and nasty. took the orange completely off my shirt.. I never dried it. I just washed it with other zumba clothes.. very dissapointed..

This shirt is really so cute; I just couldn't get it to look right. When I wore it long, it called too much attention to my belly, to be honest. So I took the sides and tied them together to make little knots on each hip. Then it fit bettter. However, then the shoulders fell off a lot when I was dancing. Not sure if that was my fault or not. But I do love the feel and the color.

I love this top!!! It is so light and comfortable. I live in a hot area and do Zumba in a hot gym without air conditioning so a lightweight top is a must. I felt sexy and recieved many conpliments on how cute I looked. (Actually it was the top that was so cute.) I hope Zumba continues to make more tops like this.
